The Basic philosophy of SEO

Posted by Talking Avatar in June 30th 2009

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

SEO is a honestly litigious issue and one that nearly every internet seller seems to have an judgment on which would be fine, not including in my come into contact with they are all numerous I have, in my engagements singled out up some hints and tips that I think most judicious natives can agree with.

The first thing to know is that most investigate engines, remarkably the all strong Google, hate SEO. It makes sense if truth be told the whole sanity that we need SEO is as the inhabitants who are complex with these hunt engines want to be the ones to lay down what ranks high in their lists, SEO is often times our way of attempting to ruse the hunt engines into bearing in mind us as the best site to fit their criteria. So, my first piece of recommendation is a straightforwardly one, use SEO but use it thoughtfully and don’t over do it. Being too clear about it will often answer in a punishment to be more precise than the augment in passage you were on tenterhooks for.

The thing examination engines love the most is gist original previous gratify is the key to being paid in with the big guys. The seek out engines are, mainly indexers of comfort so the more of it you have for them to index the outshine But again I have to sound a word the please must also be pertinent and interesting it must be condition The pursuit engines may not be able to tell the dissimilarity but the introduce somebody to an area who get there at your site sure will be able to.

an alternativething to keep in mind is that the rummage around engines will look for an idea of topic in the course and sub headings of your articles so elect on your keywords and try to have them come into sight in these areas as often as you can not including philanthropic a spammy feel to your subject matter.

Keyworddim-wittedness in broad is most likely the most hotly debated component of SEO. As I said last week, I do not claim to be a foremost proficient on these matters but with the use of a bit of communal sense I have indoors at what I think is a judicious emulsion I try to incorporate a few keywords in my subject matter when potential but I keep one dominant opinion in mind; I am writing for citizens not exploration engines.

Some use of keywords can help to bring individuals to your site and evidently that is a good thing but as I mentioned last week, you actually want them to stick going on for for awhile Get to know you and with a bit of luck buy your item for consumption or mass They are not going to do that if all they find on your site is spam type articles puffy to the gills with key terms.

In termination I would say by all means use SEO but while doing so forever keep in mind the old adage that less is often more. I have without doubt found that to be true with SEO.

Google Adwords 101: Learn How to Effectively Use Adwords for Your Work From Home Online Business

Posted by Talking Avatar in June 30th 2009

People always want to know what is quickest method to begin generating money in a work from home online internet-based business.  My answer is always Google Adwords.  Taking advantage of the Adwords system can literally put your business in front of millions of online surfers overnight.  Getting your business out in front of a large number of people is the fastest way to make money.

Google is the most popular site on the internet and is the number one search engine. According to a recent study, Google generates more than 70% of the clicks to websites that are searched through search engines.

Several years ago, Google crafted a clever way to take internet marketing to a whole new level. Google came up with Google Adwords, a pay-per-click system which matches sellers and buyers - for a fee, of course.

What exactly is Google Adwords?

Google Adwords is probably the most lucrative advertising program on the net today. It’s a program that displays websites in prime positions, in order according to the amount of money bid for a particular search word or words.  Advertisers pay Google on a per-click basis.  When someone clicks on one of the advertiser’s ads, regardless of whether anything is purchased, that advertiser is charged the amount they contracted to pay in return for the prime placement of their advertisement.

When you search for something on Google, there is a section containing “sponsored links” at the top of the search results and down the right side of the screen. These will be the Adwords pay-per-click ads.

Bidding

Website owners bid for their preferred keywords when they use the Adwords program. For example, a business that sells weight loss products might bid on phrases such as “lose weight” or “lose that fat”.  The dollar amount of the bid  determines the placement order of their ad. The person who bids the highest amount of money gets the much sought after top spot.

The amount of the bid is calculated by the business owner himself based on key factors. Bids can go as low as a nickel per click and as high as fifty dollars or more per click. The business owner must calculate how much they can afford to spend because it is easy to lose a lot of money very quickly if you have no idea about what you’re doing.

this should have given you a basic overview of what Adwords is and the factors that determine prime placement.  I always urge people to take the time to educate themselves on Adwords and proceed with great caution before making that leap.  It’s not as easy as it appears

If you’re advertising on the web, you won’t want to miss out on my Free Internet Marketing Resources Manual.  It consists of hundreds of free products and services that every internet marketer uses.  You might be saving money right now by taking advantage of a free service instead of paying for one.  The request form can be found here Work From Home Online.

Distribute Your Articles With Article Directories

Posted by Talking Avatar in June 22nd 2009

Everyone looking to promote their webiste and get greater rankings and exposure in the search engines should be writing articles and getting them published on article directories all over the net.  There are thousands of them, a simple search on Google will turn up a ton.  Article directories also redistribute the content, so it is a great way to additionally get distribution on your written articles.

Some site owners will choose to have others write a bunch of articles for them for a fee, but the best solution is usually for you to write them yourself for the top quality.  For the most part, they are not that difficult, taking maybe 20 minutes to write a shorter length article. You are the sole expert on your site and its content, and know which keywords should be worked into the text and which niche topics should be written about.  The thing to concentrate on is the redistribution and links within the article, and an article directory is a great tool for that.

You should plan on publishing the article to a few higher profile article directories such as Ezine or AffShpere (there are many more).  You will get higher points from the SE’s for this than for lower level article directories, but these also have human reviewers which force the content to be of a higher level, which is a good thing.  Once this is done, try to get the article posted on at least 4-6 other directories as is. Do not publish the same article 100's of times unless you have rewritten the article substantially - otherwise you are likely to get hit with a duplicate content penalty.

Additionally, you can use a tool such as My Article Network which has a built in article spinner and is able to redistribute your unique articles to 10000+ blogs dripped over a longer period of time. The time saved with a tool such as this is worth far more than the minor cost of using it - and it allows you to get far far more accomplished in a fraction of the time.

Articles Make Ranking Easier

Posted by Talking Avatar in June 15th 2009

Once you set up your site, you need a plan of action to get your site noticed.  It does not matter if its a personal blog, a niche blog, e-commerce, or even an affiliate marketing site.  All of them go nowhere without traffic, whether you are looking to make money or not.  While there are many tools that “claim” to help you do just this, the simple fact is search engines are the largest single source of free traffic.  One of the best ways to move up your ranking in the seach engines is through writing articles and posting them to many article directories.

On average, you will need to create about 20-40 different articles about your niche.  Meaning you want to cover all aspects of your website’s topic, and cover the top 5-7 keywords that you are trying to get ranked for.  Do not try to get ranked on too many at one time, you need to focus your energy and article writing on a specific set until you start seeing visible results, then move on to a few others.  Once you have your niche articles written, you will need to have a tool to help you spin the content.

For those of you new to SEO and website ranking stuff, spinning simply means that you have several variations of the same content so that you do not post 200 copies of the exact same text all over the web.  So for example, your sentence might be “The dog is brown”.  If you wanted to spin this, you could also say “The dogs fur is brown in color”.  So its basically the same end image, but using different words.   The reason you do this is most of the search engines will impose a duplicate content penalty at some point for repeatedly posting the exact same article.  Where this cutoff is, that is a gray area and protected by all the seach engines.  In general, I try not to post more than 20 identical copies of the same article I write to the web.

One great tool for distributing your articles and spinning the content is My Article Network.  You have access to over 10,000 blogs, covering thousands of unique IP addresses.  Its all automated once you add your content and use the simple tools to spin the article content.  Best of all, if you have a site in need of additional content, its 100% free to use.  This is probably the best tool I have ever seen for article marketing, and the ease of use is incredible.

Simple Web Promotion Techniques That Work

Posted by Talking Avatar in June 15th 2009

So you have paid a lot of money for the web design and now have a professional looking website. It has been “live” on the internet for at least a month but you are not receiving any visitors to the site. So what can one do? Yes now is the time for the all important web promotion of the site. Oh no, you may be thinking. “Not another cost, I have paid for the domain name, I have paid the web designer to build the site and I have paid for web hosting. There is not a lot of money left over in the budget for web promotion as well”.

This is an all too common theme and one I hear time and time again. I offer an affordable web promotion service in the UK and I have a lot of enquiries from people who had just presumed that their site would be able to achieve high rankings within Google purely by the skill and knowledge of the web designer. It is quite rare for web promotion to be a part of the service unless it has been previously agreed.

So here are my four killer web promotion techniques. They have worked for many websites including a friends DVD authoring website.

1. Write a list of the keywords or phrases that you want to rank well for and then make sure that they appear within the text of the homepage plus the relevant sub pages.

2. Try to obtain one-way backward links via a link building campaign.

3. Write quality articles and submit them to the popular article marketing directories. This is of benefit for a number of reasons; it helps to spread the message of the service/products that you provide; it enhances your reputation within the market plave and it also enables you to gain backward links

4. Add unique content to your website on a regular basis.

As well as being a web promotion specialist I am also a speech coach and these techniques have helped me to obtain high rankings for stuttering treatment websites.

I am confident that they will also be of great benefit to the readers of this article.
